History of interior design

industrialization it was the kings and elite people who developed and
used this interior design technique exclusively for their palaces. All

access to this interior design only after the industrialization had
taken place in their country. With industrialization, many types of
goods are accessible for the common people. The
purchasing power of the middle classes increased pretty fast. Once
there is disposable income in the hands of the middle classes, they
want to spend it on different needs. Thus a market is created for goods
and services related to interior design field. Once the market is
developed it thrives on its own demand and supply cycle. You will find
lot many interior design styles developed only after there was demand
for it from the middle class with lot of disposable income in their
possession. Presently there is a very well developed industry supplying
goods and services related to this interior design business all over
the world. From European point of view, they consider three important
key movements in the history of interior design. Egyptian and roman
times are the first important milestones in the history of this
interior design field. In those times this interior design was
restricted for the use of wealthy people only. In those days
architecture was very well developed. You find well decorated and well
interior designed tombs of this period. The Romans had separate living
rooms for use in winter and summer seasons. This underlines the fact
that interior design concepts were very much in use in those roman
times. The next interesting period in the history of interior design
field will be the renaissance. Italians were the people who used the
principles of interior design to develop their own style of interior
design. The wealthy people were interested in paying the artists money
to build their interior design plans around certain themes or concepts.
Though these interior design plans were beyond the mean of the ordinary
people, for the first time modern interior design was used. The next
important period in the history of interior design will be of course
industrialization. Now all the goods and services related to this
interior design industry are available for the ordinary people also.
