working in this field of interior design. This ASID holds regular
student interior design competition every year. For year 2009 the
deadline is 15th december2009 for sending your interior design projects
as entry into this student interior design competition. This student
interior design competition is open for all the students. All the ASID
student members are eligible to take part in this student interior
design competition. The student might be from any year. There is no
restriction regarding the year of study for taking part in this student
interior design competition. The winner of this student interior design
competition gets a cash award of $2000. The winning entry work gets
wide publicity. This winning entry gets featured in ASID ICON. It is
also featured in ACCESS student newsletter. This winning entry will be
permanent part of ASID website.
The participating students in this student interior design competition
are given a topic and they are all supposed to submit their interior
design projects on the same topic. In 2005 the topic chosen was an
interesting one. The students were supposed to create interior design
project for the spa where multiple sclerosis patients are residing. The
first condition is that the students must use sustainable products in
this interior design project. The second condition is that they should

In 2006 the topic given was as follows. You have to create a camp
activity center for the children. These children are residing at Pocono
Mountains of Pennsylvania. You have to give full accessibility to this
camp. And the interior design should be of sustainable type. In 2007
the project topic was totally different. You were given two row house
units. You had to create an art gallery from these two row house units.
This art gallery will display works of cut edge artists in different
mediums. The very next year the students were told to create an
interior design project for a luxury skybox of a CEO. This was supposed
to be custom design project. The CEO was of a major music label
recording company.There is good variety in the topics chosen for this
